Cork Tag Rugby ended their season on grass with an electric night of tag rugby, socialising & music under the bright lights of Cork Con. The Friday Night Lights Blitz brought over 250 people to Cork Con for our final night of the season on grass.
2023 was the first year that Cork Tag Rugby played out their Summer Season in Cork Con. The pristine pitches and superb facilities ensured an enthralling experience for tag rugby players throughout the Summer. Cork tag rugby events are known for their inclusivity and friendly atmosphere and whether you are a seasoned pro or new to the game, all Cork Tag Rugby players were welcomed to Cork Con over the summer months.
While the emphasis is on having fun, Cork Tag Rugby’s venues boast a competitive edge with friendly rivalries and good sportsmanship a common sight on the pitch at all levels. However, once the final whistle is blown, its not just about the result. The post-match socialising is an integral part of the tag rugby experience with many new friendships formed throughout the Summer months.
With the 2023 season now complete, Cork Tag Rugby returns to Musgrave Park & CSN College for the Winter season. We also have our Portugal Beach Tag Rugby trip coming up in April 2024 where the fun continues.
Cork Tag Ruby are delighted to announce a new addition to our Venues for the Summer Leagues.
Cork Tag Rugby will be running a new Wednesday Night Social League in Cork Constitution commencing in mid-May. As well as running our Social Leagues in Highfield RFC & Musgrave Park, we are delighted to be adding Cork Con to our growing list of venues in Cork.

Tag Rugby is a mixed sport which is open to all persons of varying ability & fitness levels. The game is simple to learn, and experience is not necessary. As our leagues are social, new players learn from simply joining in with a team. Our venue managers and referees are always available to give a helping hand.
Discover a new sport and make new friends at Cork Tag Rugby’s events, the only league in Cork where the sole focus is on social tag rugby. Fill out your social calendar with team nights out to weekends away. Watch this space for future trips abroad where in 2022 we visited Southern France where our tag teams played in a French tournament hosted by the Coco Boys. In 2023, Cork Tag Rugby will run its own beach tag rugby tournament in Praia da Rocha in Portugal.
Excitement is building for Cork Tag Rugby’s first trip for our Portugal Beach Tag Rugby Tournament in April 2023. Sun, sea and amazing beach tag rugby awaits in the heart of the sunny Algarve. Cork Tag Rugby welcomes taggers to the scenic Praia da Rocha for an experience not to be missed.
Praia da Rocha is a bustling beachfront resort and a hive of activity throughout its numerous shops, bars & restaurants located along its strip. Portimao is the nearest major city located a 5 minute drive from Praia da Rocha.

Ideal for beach tag rugby, the beach area will play host to a 7 a side play format, with the event kicking off on Saturday 15th April at 10:30am.
